Robert Bobnič
Robert Bobnič (b. 1985, Yugoslavia/Slovenia) is a Ph.D. student of Media Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana. His dissertation deals with the historical relationship between automation, alienation, and culture at the intersection of political economy, [the] theory of power, and media archeology. He is an associate of the Slovenian radio station Radio Študent cultural board, and an editor at Slovenian publishing house V.B.Z. He was a member of the editorial board of ŠUM, a journal for contemporary art criticism and theory (2018-2019), editor of Culture and Humanities Programme on Radio Študent (2013-2016), and editor-in-chief of newspaper Tribuna (2011-2012).
In 2019 he co-organized the Black Metal Theory Symposium in Ljubljana. His latest co-authored publication is an article Truth, Post-truth, Non-truth: New Aestheticized Digital Regime of Truth in Post-Truth and the Mediation of Reality.
